Praia do Salgado
A 6 Km long extension of sand protected by imposing cliffs. It's our favourite beach and is only a 10 minute walk from Casa dos Mangues.
Praia de São Martinho do Porto
This is a bay of rare beauty. The tranquility of the ocean becomes a beach perfect for children. It's only 5 Km from Casa dos Mangues so you can either drive or walk there.
Praia da Nazaré
This is a fisherman's beach where you can still see the boats being hauled ashore in the traditional way by oxen and the women dressed in seven skirts and a shawl around their heads as in times long gone. All this a mere 10 minute drive away.
